David joined Archetype in 2013 and brought with him a diverse background of construction experience that began with building commercial and industrial projects as a carpenter and millwright. Eager to become a designer as well as a builder, David started his own building and remodeling business where he took on a wide range of residential projects that included nearly every facet of home construction from the ground up. Projects included designing and building additions, vacation homes and a large timber framed lakefront home in Downeast Maine.
David’s time in the design/build business, where he learned to overcome many obstacles, prepared him for his next challenge; becoming an architect. In 2003 he graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Architecture degrees.
As an architect and construction administrator, David now works with clients and contractors to provide timely solutions for technical and design challenges that come up during construction.
