Contemporary Hotel on Portland's Waterfront

Aloft Portland is a planned 157 room hotel along Commercial Street on Portland’s waterfront. Part of a larger master plan encompassing the former Rufus Deering lumber yard, this contemporary hotel will bring it’s own unique brand of hospitality to visitors of the city. Hotel amenities include covered parking, a luxurious ground floor lounge, fitness room, business center, and conference rooms.

With a sturdy granite base and traditional red brick elements, Aloft Portland bridges old and new architectural styles. Public plaza space is provided in the living street between the hotel and adjoining residential building. Benches, trees, grasses, and plenty of lighting serve to create a livable corridor that breaks up the block and imparts pedestrian access from York Street.
