Widgery Wharf Office Building

Office space on Portland’s working waterfront.

This office building at Widgery Wharf was completed by Archetype in 2018. As this project site is only a few hundred feet from our office, it was of particular importance to us. we aimed to capture the character of the working waterfront, while still embracing a contemporary style and program. With its echoes of nearby industrial buildings and large contemporary windows, this building seeks to integrate the best of two intersecting architectural styles while maintaining a localized sense of place and authentic design.
